The establishment of Karumkulam community has been done on 25th march 1983, to improve the quality of life of the people of the coastal area of Thiruvanandhapuram, in spiritual, moral, educational, social and cultural levels.
What do we do?
In 1989 a nursery has been initiated to impart education for children of the surroundings. Even to this day this basic educational formation is appreciated by the people. Together with education we also render pastoral activities like catechism, basic Christian community, and preparation of the children and adults for the sacraments, animation of the pious association and Cottolengo Prayer group, moral classes, etc,. for the people of the locality there is also saksharatha class for adult drop outs, tuition class for ongoing school children, job oriented class for young women, family visit, healthcare through dispensary, etc,.
